More than books

A whole ministry around the Sunday School

The Brethren Sunday School Committee does not only publish books. It develops the curriculum, trains the teachers who use it, and walks alongside students, parents and believers.

Curriculum development

A graded, doctrinally-aligned syllabus written and revised by the Committee — lesson texts and student workbooks from Pre-Primary to Class XII.

Teacher training programmes

Training for Sunday School teachers and assemblies, so the lessons are taught with clear objectives and practical application, not just handed out.

Video lessons

Recorded lessons that support teachers in the classroom and help children and families revisit the teaching through the week.

Live Sunday School

Live sessions that reach children in assemblies and homes that cannot access a regular Sunday School class of their own.

Counselling sessions

Counselling for students, parents and believers — because building a biblical foundation involves the whole family, not only the child.

Book distribution & outreach

Sunday School books placed in the hands of churches across India, the diaspora and the mission field, including partners in Africa.

The ministry at work

From Pathanamthitta to the nations

Sunday School books, teaching and fellowship shared with churches and conferences far beyond Kerala.

Our story

A vision that became a generations-long ministry

From a burden on the hearts of two godly brethren in 1965 to a curriculum that today shapes children across India and the diaspora.

  1. 1965

    A burden becomes a vision

Two devoted brethren recognise the lack of doctrinally-aligned Sunday School material for Brethren assemblies and begin planning a structured curriculum.

  2. Nov 1966

    First Committee meeting

The Sunday School Committee is formally convened, marking the beginning of one of the most significant educational ministries among Brethren assemblies in Kerala.

  3. Later decades

    Curriculum into English

The Malayalam lessons are translated into English with generous support from believers in the United States, widening the ministry to the diaspora and to other Indian languages.

  4. 1 Feb 2019

    Registered as a Trust

The Brethren Sunday School Committee is formally registered as a Trust (Reg. No. IV/21/2019) to strengthen and formalise the ministry across the country.

Inside every bundle

More than a workbook.

Each workbook ships with the matching lesson text in one personally-watermarked PDF, plus a free four-page sample. Here's what your students will work through.

Illustrated journey through a Brethren Sunday School workbook: memory verse on lined paper, an open illustrated Bible, an activity sheet with arrows and check marks, a Bible-lands map, and a stack of closed workbooks.

Scripture-grounded lessons

Old Testament narratives, the gospels, Acts and the Pauline epistles — graded by class so each year deepens what the last covered.

Hands-on workbook activities

Colouring, matching, fill-in-the-blanks, and write-in reflection prompts. Students learn by doing, not just listening.

Memory-verse drills

Each lesson carries 1–2 memory verses curated for the standard. Recitation drills built into the workbook flow.

Teacher's lesson text

Bundled alongside the student workbook (Class I–VIII), the lesson text gives teachers the doctrinal background and exposition for each week.

Four language editions

The curriculum is published in English, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil. English and Malayalam editions are on the store today; Hindi and Tamil are being added.

Personally watermarked

Every page carries your name, email, and order ID in the footer — discouraging unauthorised sharing while preserving private study.

What this ministry stands for
